StrollerBurn

Sweat, stroll, and make new mom friends—all without leaving your little one behind!

What is StrollerBurn?

StrollerBurn is a 45-minute total-body workout designed for moms with strollers. The workout consists of strength training and cardio, all while entertaining little ones with fun!

No matter what skill level you are, class can be modified to meet your needs. This class is about giving you what you need without the mom guilt of leaving your little one!

At the start of class we match up walkers with walkers and runners with runners—instant workout buddy, potential new BFF. The 45-minute class consists of a warm up walk, then we will walk/run for 30 seconds - 1 minute then stop for a 2-3 minute strength session, repeat for about 30 minutes and end with a cool down walk and stretch!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need a specific stroller to participate? No but we HIGHLY suggest some sort of jogging stroller. Ones with air tires are the most comfortable for the kids!

How long after baby do I need to wait to join classes? We recommend 6 weeks or until your doctor clears you. You are able to join the class while pregnant if your doctor clears you for exercise.

Can I join if I am pregnant? Yes! As long as you are cleared by your doctor to exercise.

Do I have to run in StrollerBurn? Absolutely not! Classes are designed that you can do a faster paced walk and be able to keep up (cardio sections are only 30 seconds - 1 minute). I have everyone find a buddy to either walk or run with at the start of class. You know your body and where you are in your fitness journey and I will never make you do anything you are uncomfortable with.

What do I do if I'm running late? We call that mom time This is why I typically start classes 5 minutes after class start time. If you are running late and we already started just jump right in when you get there!

Does my child need to participate? Nope! This workout is for you and while we work really hard on incorporating the little ones and making it fun for them, sometimes the kids just want to play and do their own thing, which is ok! They are still getting some awesome benefits from just being with you!

What happens if I am not able to make the class? We can offer a credit for a future class! We do require you message before class start in order to move your reservation.

Is StrollerBurn a franchise class? Nope! I'm a local mom and every class is programmed by me. I'm a certified personal trainer specializing in prenatal and postpartum exercise. I hope to be able to help get moms moving to help with both physical and mental health complications postpartum.

Pro Tips

Have Fun

Don’t be afraid to get silly—make funny faces, goofy sounds, and let your playful side shine! Your little one feeds off your energy. You can set the example that exercise can be enjoyable.

Feeding

Try to feed babies a little bit before class. If you need to feed them during class no worries! For toddlers bring some snacks to pop on the stroller tray or put in a snack cup. Food is a great distraction!

Love Yourself

Don’t get stuck comparing yourself to others! We are all at different fitness levels and the goal of this class is to get moms moving. Getting moms together and filling our cup just a little is what we want you to focus on, not how many squats you can do.

Don't Wait

Never wait until you have a perfectly happy child to come to class. We are a group of parents. Everyone understands that kids are not happy 100% of the time. If your child throws a fit, falls asleep, or is happy as can be, you are still teaching them health is important!

Modify

If you are ever in pain, STOP! Let me know if something is painful or doesn’t feel right so I can work with you.

Toys

Always bring a toy or two. Sometimes they just need a little distraction and piece of home.

Slow

It is not a race. When exercising, form is more important than how many you do. Focus on doing the exercise correctly and as you get better the amount will increase naturally.
